Tailored storage and intelligent design

With a focus on functionality, this kitchen integrates a range of custom pull-out storage solutions, including dedicated compartments for baking trays, waste, recycling, spices, and coffee essentials. Every element was meticulously planned to optimise accessibility and maintain a seamless aesthetic. The central island, housing dual downdraft ventilation systems, required precision-engineered cabinetry that accommodated the ducting while maximising storage capacity.

Materiality and craftsmanship

Crafted from solid lipped and veneered oak panels, the cabinetry features handmade solid oak pull handles, all stained to a deep, rich tone chosen by the client. A low-sheen lacquer enhances the natural grain of the wood, creating a warm yet sophisticated finish. Brass detailing further elevates the design, with a mix of polished and lacquered brass accents for the cabinetry and flash gaps, complemented by patinated brass finger pulls.

Exquisite stonework and finishing touches

Extensive research led our client to source a striking quartzite, which was mitred to create a bold, thick profile on the island and waterfall ends. A lighter quartzite thickness was used to crown the brass cabinetry and pocket-door larder, enhancing the contrast between natural textures and metallic finishes.

A collaborative vision

This project was a testament to thoughtful design and shared creativity, resulting in a kitchen that seamlessly blends aesthetic appeal with day-to-day practicality.

"Thoughtful design and shared creativity, in equal measure."
